The 16th iteration of Parker's Heritage Collection is a combination of 33 15-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and 67 13-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that have been double barreled for four weeks.
The 13-year-old Bourbon, which was made from barrels created in December 2008, was matured on Rickhouse Q's fifth through seventh floors before being re-barreled into fresh American white oak barrels with a level three char for a period of four weeks. After that, it was combined with 15-year-old Bourbon from barrels made in January 2007 and stored on the second and fifth floors of Rickhouse II.
According to the brand, the 13-year-old Bourbon's double barreling brings out even more oak and spice notes from the barrel, balancing the unique, robust flavor character.
