A subtle sweet smokiness leads into a lengthy and semi-sweet finish. Pungent aromas of butterscotch leap to the forefront of the nose followed by grapefruit zest, cigar box, ripe dark plum and a quite foxy, muscat-like aroma reminiscent of fine grappa. Initially sweet, with restrained vanilla, then drier, oaky notes develop, fading into furniture polish and soft malt in the finish.
