Japanese Mizunara oak barrels of the highest quality are used to age Kaiy whiskey. Due to the fine wood grain of Mizunara oak, these casks are handcrafted. They are regarded as some of the best casks for maturing whisky and are among the rarest in the entire world. After years of maturing, Kaiy's barrels embark on a last, up to three-month maturation cruise at sea, departing from Osaka, Japan.
The mizunara wood is able to release its delicate tastes and aromas thanks to the movement, temperature variation, and air pressure changes.The Sheri is a limited edition, once-in-a-lifetime whisky that Kaiy's master blender considers to be his best effort to date. aged in a mixture of pedro ximenez, oloroso, and Mizunara Oak sherry barrels.
