The remarkable mountain water from the region, which has been filtered through old granite boulders, is used by the Hakushu Distillery blenders to soften the palate while they work with peat. This century-old Hakushu Peated Malt is refined and delicate, with smoke that is more complex and mild in the manner of Japan and never overpowering.
