Non-colored, non-chill filtered The five-year-old Kujira Ryukyu Single Grain Whisky was produced entirely from excellent Indica rice. Aged for more than five years in first-filled White Oak casks in a subtropical climate near the southern tip of Okinawa, Japan. Dark fruity flavor and a strong fragrance of wood. Body is mellow and silky, with sweet notes at the end.
Silver Medal (San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021) 91pts. silver (International Wine & Spirit Competition 2021) produced by Masahiro Shuzo, one of Okinawa, Japan's oldest and largest distilleries. The distinctive "black Koji," a koji that could only be obtained in Okinawa, was mashed with 100% Indica rice to create the KUJIRA Ryukyu Whisky INARI. "INARI" refers to the Japanese mythology's god of rice farming.
