The acclaimed Kentucky Straight High Rye Bourbon Whiskey from Blue Run is available in "micro batches" under the name Blue Run Flight Series. Each of the six "Flights" is made up of two to five barrels that Jim Rutledge, the liquid advisor for Blue Run, contracted to distill at Castle & Key Distillery.
Flight is the first Blue Run whiskey release that Whiskey Director Shaylyn Gammon has expertly blended since she joined the firm earlier this year. The barrels were hand-selected by Gammon. Gammon's award-winning blending skill can shine through on each bourbon thanks to the tiny number of barrels utilized in Blue Run's micro batching, producing extraordinary flavor sensations in each Flight.
