Bourbon Barrel Aged Nutella-Inspired Imperial Stout • 14% ABV • We had the remarkable fortune to source a freshly-dumped set of Old Rip Van Winkle bourbon barrels late last year and knew the fudgey, toasted nut tones of this remarkable bourbon would be the perfect host for a liquid expression of the world's favorite hazelnut spread.
After 14 months in barrels, we pushed this Imperial Stout through Guatemalan cacao nibs to further enhance its velvety, milk chocolate flavor and finished it with hundreds of pounds of toasted hazelnuts. A beautiful bite of vanilla-hued oak and a warming heat on the 14% exhale keep the rich legacy of these special barrels at the forefront of this Stasis Project release.
